Do you collaborate with other consultants?

Yes, we are pleased to work as partners and serve as subcontractors or primary contractors on projects where our services are compatible with "teammates."

Your fees seem reasonable, but we cannot afford a large amount of expertise. Can you still help us?

Yes, we can work in a coaching or critiquing mode on proposal development, provide training, and facilitate meetings in a matter of days rather than weeks or months.

How much do your services cost?

Most projects cost between $2,500 and $20,000 with short training activities running $50-$3,000. We have found that a set fee or monthly retainer basis gives our clients their best value.

Why aren't you compensated directly from grants?

Proposal development is compensated similarly to other professional services: hourly, by project, or on a retainer basis. Clients pay for the quality of the services, not a guaranteed outcome. Most funding sources that we have worked with disallow compensation for proposal development as part of the administrative portion of grants and will not pay for applicant costs incurred prior to the grant being awarded to that applicant. Contingency funding is also considered unethical by professional fund raising and grant writing associations.
